This rough model will later be broken down into 8 parts: Brow, nose and upper lip, eyelids bags, lower lip and chin, sides of face and neck. Brushing epoxy on cheeks and neck of sculpture. Removing foam appliances from molds. Stage 1 of make-up application. Stage 2 of make-up application. Stage 3 of make-up application. Stage 4 of make-up application. Stage 5 of make-up application. Stage 6 of make-up application. A wax duplicate of the make-up.
This was a landmark for me because of the great
opportunity to create a 121-year-old make-up on Dustin Hoffman. I
did extensive research and spent six weeks sculpting the overlapping
appliances for the head and hands. There were many other make-up
problems and filming on location with temperatures from over 100 to
30 below zero was rough.
