Change 1: From youth to fat 40's with "wrap-around" foam appliance, nose, make-up plus hair and costume change. 3 minutes 20 seconds. Change 2: Added chin, eyelids, eye bags, stamped on forehead wrinkles, also gray wig and shawl with shoulder hump. 1 minute 40 seconds.
This life of Queen Victoria with Claire Bloom was
my quick-change masterpiece. She began as the young princess, went
to 40, then 60, ended at 80. Ages 40 and 60 were done on Claire.
Age 80, shown here, was a double made up beforehand. Unfortunately
Claire forbade photos during rehearsal so I can only show you
pictures of the preparation of appliances.
