A Remembrance of
In this era of great creative make-up artists, Stan Winston was more than a great artist or sculptor, he was also a brilliant designer and inventor who taught his fine staff to bring fantastic creatures to life. Stan never backed away from an "impossible problem". He always had the courage to find the answer. At the same time he managed to withstand the terrific pressures of the film business, yet still maintain his sense of humor and generosity to others. My life has been enriched by our friendship. I will miss him more than these inadequate words can describe.
